CIU is made up of two components: Sports and Community Development.
1.) Sports
A.) Outreach in communities through sport camps, clinics, tournaments, youth/teen sports traveling teams and “Time-Out ~ Athletes Only” small group sessions and assemblies.
B.) Player Development Network: (Highschool, Collegiate, Professional players) – to teach, train, mentor and equip athletes to become effective leaders on and off the court/field while using the platform they have worked hard to obtain, to be a positive role model for their family, sport, school, organization, and community.
C.) Missions (Sports): Outreaches that are done in the U.S. and Overseas using sports as a tool to share the gospel, build relationships, implement an element of our player development network, and assist the local churches and missionaries with projects needing to be completed.
2) Community Development Programs
A.) CIU “Time Out” small group & assemblies (Elementary, Middle school, High School, University, Neighborhood, and Prison) – Mentorship program that provides a Fun, Loving, Positive Environment, teaching and equipping students with the necessary tools for success in today’s society.
B.) NOLA Preparatory School – Alternative Adult Education that offers multiple services for the ages of 15 and up:
1) opportunity to earn a “State Approved” High School Diploma
2) Education Advocacy and Transitional Services (EATS) Career Counseling, and Post-Secondary Application Assistance (Admissions and FAFSA)
C.) Master Builders program – 10 week Intensive self – development/mentorship program that focuses on meeting the needs of each individual, and equipping them with the essential tools to build a life of purpose and power
D.) Business Internship program: Intro to Business Program that consist of being taught finance 101, business management & marketing, network marketing, risk management, multi-level marketing etc… Students will learn how to obtain Financial Freedom, Identify there niche in the business world, start a business, and get Hands On training during the program to implement what has been taught.
E.) Missions (General): Outreaches that are done in the U.S., and Overseas by partnering with a local church(s) or organization to reach there community through sports, music, school assemblies, crusades (revivals), and workshops on sports, personal/organizational financial growth, music, marriage, leadership etc…
F.) Consultation: CIU provides Consultation services to Churches and Organizations for programs listed above. Available for workshops, camps, clinics, speaking engagements, and break-out sessions.
3) CIU’s long term goal is to raise funds to open up and fully staff its first CIU Freedom Center which will provide a variety of programs, including the ones mention above for youth and adults, but most importantly, will provide a safe haven, and an atmosphere for our children that will be conducive for growth – physically, psychologically, and spiritually.
