I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me. But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands. (Exodus 20:5, 6 NLT)

Here the scripture clearly states that generational curses (bondage) are inevitable when we reject God. When parents operate in sin, the children will be affected; LET’S GO DEEPER: we are all born into sin because of Adam and Eve’s sin in the garden. So its even more difficult when a child has parents that didn’t obey God and allow sin to come in; you can see that a child, unless they come into the full knowledge of who God is, won’t have a fighting chance.

Family and Friends, that’s why a lot of times we believe that our problems or character flaws are “just who we are” but the truth of the matter is that we don’t understand what we are fighting against and the weight we are carrying because we were born with it already attached. I like to call it “Generational Weight“. That’s why from the first time you have an Encounter with God, there will be no other feeling like it. When u have truly given your life to Him, obeying His commands, and operating in power that comes from the Holy Spirit, no problem, generation curse, or demonic force can hinder you, because you are a child of the Living King!!!
